Empathy in residence

In early 2023, we were delighted to spend a full week in residence at Ox-Bow, a live/work art school in Saugatuck, on the shore of Lake Michigan. We worked with the leadership team there to deepen their skillfulness in communication and empathic problem solving. Once their team began to experience the results, they invited us back in the spring for another week during their All-Staff orientation. Watch the video for a peek.

Empathy for customer insight

We spent a full day and a half with the creative leads and behavioral scientists at Signal Theory, building skill in deep listening, observation, and perspective-taking. This is what they had to say.

Empathy for Earthlings

In the summer of 2023, Others partnered with Water Resources Engineer Anna Kladzyk Constantino to create "Empathy for Earthlings.” Our aim was to empower participants to replace human-centered problem-solving with life-centered problem-solving. We practiced deep listening skills, and then applied the tools outward to the greater living world. This was a beautiful experience we can’t wait to share again.
